Maybe, but consensus is that's pretty well worthless. I tend to agree. It's really all about comps.
Personally, I don't trust their numbers but they may be worthwhile in negotiating a better price... or perhaps in convincing the wife that the deal's worth it.

jjohnson120,

I agree I'll offer less and work my way up to no more than 12K, only time will tell if I get it or not. I dont see too many boats moving in my area right now being winter and all but being in the south you can just about boat year round down here. I'll post what my decision is after I see it. thanks for the input.

Scott: You're 2 hrs. from metro Atlanta--home of more freshwater boats than most entire states have. Lake Lanier is 12.5 feet low, and boathouses are sitting in the mud. I would imagine the NW SC mountain lakes around Seneca and Clemson are also very low right now. Many, many boats are for sale in the area.

Look in the Atlanta newspaper want ad's Thursday-Sunday, and you've never seen so many boats for sale. The newspaper also owns Boattrader.com, and you can filter their ads for exactly what you're looking for.

Take your time, call your own shots, and you can come up with an advantageous purchase. You might want to run over to the Atlanta Boat Show (downtown) when it comes up in a month or so--as a learning experience.

By the way, the Crest is probably better built and structurally sound than most pontoons.
