I have them parts in front of me now! They don’t work ! Exciter coil is to big want bolt up pulser coil sticks up to high look like it will be into flywheel!!I used a meter to test them exciter coil don’t read anything and pulser ciol only reads 20!
3G2060211M EXCITER COIL-FOR 25C3/30A4 (for 2-wire USE 3G3060211M) $65.28
3G3060211M EXCITER COIL (2-WIRE) $77.50
3G2060220M PULSER COIL $46.50
Yes I’m still at work but soon as I get home I will! Can you post pics of the old exciter and pulser coils side to the new ones to check the size. Paul, was there a previous M40C Tohatsu version ? Or didn't upgraded since was released ?

Pics say it all. In first pic, which exciter coil is the older one, first or second. ?The Pulser Coil looks very primitive compared to the other.
Is it possible to send both units to an electronic store and have them rewinded with new wire that meets both Ohm and Voltage values for each, Check your PM...

The first one is the old one! The thickness of the two are very different! I don’t know if I can rewind it or not! I’m not a mechanic but I can usually fix most things!’makes it hard when u can’t get the rite parts !Pics say it all. No it’s not the correct part but. It is the one that it calls for! Yes it is about opposite f try on what I need!!I have another exciter coil on its way and the bolt holes are the same as the one I have so we’ll see if it works! The second part picture isn't even the correct part. The metal angle is set up for the opposite of what you have. Yours angles to the right looking at it from the screw hold perspective. The "new" one angles to the left like it was for some other engine setup. Just my opinion...
Knowing how I am, I'd be removing the covering on the first coil you posted and see if I could find the break. I mean it is merely a single wound coil. How hard could it be... And since it is not working presently, what is there left to loose? I bet that one could be fixed! JMHO
Heck if there is only one break in the winding, as you remove the winding, repair that break when you get to it, and rewind the wire back on and WALA, new exciter coil ready to go... That is a different story if the windings are burnt or toast. But worth a try anyways. That is exactly what I would do even if I could find one. I mean a single wire coil has got to be the easiest repair you could ask for... JMHOThe exciter coil would be the easiest thing to rewind. You'd have to know the size of the wire, which is easy to do as you can measure it with a micrometer or lay down 10 strips of it and measure it and divide by 10. Then unwind the original taking care to note the number and direction of turns. Order a roll about the same length as what you removed and start winding back up again, as tight together as you can, in the same direction as the original. Once you get back to roughly the same number of turns, tape it off and you're done!
