hi gang. i recently acquired a 1964 evinrude fisherman 5.5 horse motor. someone years before had repainted the cowling. well instead of going back with polychromatic blue towards the botom of the cowling, they went OD green. well i decided to clean her up and bring her back to her glory.i am getting her ready to paint but i am trying to locate a trim piece for the cowling. towards the rear of the cowling. on the left and right sides there is a trim piece that is almost shaped like a boomerang. the bottom of the trim is red, and the top section has a aluminum insert with the evinrude E sourrounded in black at the bottom of the insert. i am in need of the aluminum insert for the port side. if any one has a damaged cowling around that i could maybe buy this part from, i would be grateful.i believe the trim will work from many different size cowlings
