I rented a slip for my boat. Got a great deal. That's besides the point.
I have a 21ft deck boat and the dock is only 6ft. So I need to figure out how to stablize the back end of the boat without having to add on to the existing dock.
I was think a sand auger with a pole but didn't know if that is good enough to hold my boat in place.
The dock is at the end of a no wake zone, and will also have another boat at the dock next to it.
I need ideas!

More of an "out haul" than a mooring, but . . . Either a pole sunk into the bottom or a size able mooring anchor and bouy. Probably a 50-100 lb anchor depending on you weather conditions.

Buy a trash can capable of holding two bags of concrete add a piece of rebar bent in a V, than some chain and float. What else do you need?

A way to remove it at the end of the season. He rented the slip. He didn't buy it. I'd probably go with a sizable anchor, line to the stern cleat that I can hang off the dock when I leave, and a marker float above the anchor so others know it's there when you aren't

OP, how are your dock neighbors dealing with it?

Thanks JoLin. I am going to try that. They dock next to us has a full dock so they have no issues.

You might be able to tie up stern in. With two good spring lines and 5 bumpers, it might work. It would be similar to below.

This is shown with a 6 foot pier, 10 foot wide slip, and a 21 foot boat.

Red is dock lines and purple are bumpers.
