Hello, everyone. This is a longshot, but I'm trying to ID a boat that I got on from an auction. I need to get a title, and I need more info to accomplish that. It's about 14' long, is all fiberglass, and seems to have no hull ID anywhere. The stern resembles a larger Thermocraft, but that's as far as I've gotten. Again, it's a longshot, but I thought I'd try. Thanks.

your only chance is to chase down the prior registered owner and get the title that way.

it looks like its been at least painted, however possibly modified or home made. there are no markings

its way to generic of a shape to come up with a manufacturer

I see VA registration numbers. Have the owner chase the paperwork with the registering authority.

If all else fails you could try and register as homemade. Here in mass the environmental police will come and inspect the boat for safety and issue an HID number.
Best of luck

I posted a day too soon, because I have the title now (long story). It's a Charest, which offers no more info than I had. I was hoping to find max horsepower, capacities, etc. Anyway, thanks!

Measure the transom width, and water line length, then use the USCG formula.

Most likely rated for 10 -15 hp
