i have a 1986 force 125 i changed the solenoid but dont remeber wich wires go where on wich screws if anyone can send a piture with wires on solenoid i would really appreciate it thanx for your help in advance

Diagram doesn't show it but on my 89 125 hp. Force #2 is doubled and one end fastens to the mounting bolt at base of the selonoid under the positive cable, then comes off to the #2 pole.

Diagram doesn't show it but on my 89 125 hp. Force #2 is doubled and one end fastens to the mounting bolt at base of the selonoid under the positive cable, then comes off to the #2 pole.

Solenoid is rubber mounted at the mounting bolts, and thats needed for the ground..

so maxum the black wire one goes to number 2 and the other black wire goes under the positive cable comming from the battery not thred wire comming from the starter??

If your selonoid is like my 89 125 hp. Yours may be different!

Standing in front of the engine facing the carbs looking down at the selonoid.
The two bolts that mount the selonoid to the engine is what your looking for.
Little black wire is doubled and has two round ends on it, one mounts to selonoid mounting bolt closest to you, it's down under starter wire at the base of the selonoid, "not to the starter wire" the other end mounts to 2 in picture!

If the small black wire with two round ends doesn't sound familar yours may be different than mine! Hope this helps!

bought new iginition switch new solenoid new nuetral safety switch wired everything up i have juice a the dash board lights lite up but when i go turn the key choke does not click nor those the solenoid when i put the key on position everything lites up fuel gauge works but when i turn key to start fuel drops lite go out what can it be any help will be gladly appreciated thanx in advance

Disconnect your battery leads and test your battery voltage with a DVM. What do you read? How old is the cranking battery?

dont know how it is person who gave it to me told me it was new with plastic wrapping on it still but may be it was just lying around .gonna buy new battery also yellow wire on solenoid has no power when i test it is it supposed to have power on it yellow wire on block either has no power only red wires

Yellow wire on solinoid will only have power if the motor is in neutral and the neutral interlock switch is engaged. Then it still will only have power when the key is turned to the spring loaded position or start. Voltage will be somewhere between 9 volts and 12 volts.

Have you charged the battery yet? I understand it takes something like 9.6 volts minimum to run these engines correctly!
Or take the battery to an auto parts store they'll test it for you free, before you go out and spring for a new battery!

well bought a new battery solenoid clicking but still no juice in the yellow and black wire and when i turn the key to start at the ignition switch i lose all power what can it be i know i'm getting closer to starting this engine with all you guys help its greatly apprecitaed thanx in advance
