Does the serial number read 5976669 ?

If yes then that number shows as Merc V-225 .

Its a Franken motor. First its not a 225hp as it has vertical reeds. It has a 1st Generation 2 L block with WH9 carbs thus a 150. The powerhead and midsection dates it pre 1982 but my bet is a 1979 or 1980. It has had newer style brackets and wiring harness added off a oiler motor. It has automotive spark wires and cowling is off a 1984-1987...not worth much

What's with the Front cover from an Inline 6?
That V6 has been apart, the bolts holding the Crankcase together look like an Impact was used on them
It is definitely a bunch of Pieces cobbled together. Cowl is from an 84/85
Has no Choke, post 79?
Second Generation Transom Bracket.
Possibly a crank rated 175 or 150(pre 1982)

Oh and someone has removed choke plates and added enricher but its only by one bolt as bracket doesn't align with older model intakes. Likely drilled carbs and added nipples

Enricher has replaced the function of the choke flappers.-----An improvement.

Hi. That’s two different engine type cowlings altogether. The engine itself looks very much to me like an early 80’s 2.0 v6 150 or 135. I’ve one the same. The other picture of the thunder bolt casing is off a straight 6 engine.

My guess is the Inline6 Front Cover is from a 1974 115hp or 150hp
