Need Help with transom repair

I have a 1980 Crestliner Nordic. There have been multiple engines and other "apparatus" attached to the transom of this boat. I have removed most of it, but i have holes remaining. How do I go about patching the holes in the aluminum that I am not going to reuse? Do I have to hire a welder, or is there some sort of patching material that I can use?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Need Help with transom repair

Well..... the small holes 3/16" or less can be filled with a pop rivet that has been coated in 3m5200 for a quick seal. Larger holes can be filled with a ss bolt and 5200

many people use jb weld but if there is no support on either side you risk the repair popping out.

go through the starcraft restorations and see what other's have done ;) http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=385090
