got used boat tilt &trim doesent work.it just clicks when i push the button.i took the motor off and put power to it and the motor ran.any info would be great its a 4.3 liter omc cobra 91 model
I answered your other post.
check the connections on the 2 solenoids on the top of the engine,should be on a bracket left of the carb.Clean those up and re-connect.
Also there are 2 fuses in rubber boots behind those solenoids.
Check both,one is for the trim.
check to see if you have power going to the motor wire when the solenoid clicks on.good chance that the solenoid isnt making connection across the big terminals.
If the 50 amp fuse is blown the solenoid will still click.
Also check the plug in where the pump plugs into the wiring harness.Its a square 3 prong plug.
