I need help mounting a 1973 hp johnson onto a 1960 Larson All-American with a 1960 Evinrude Lark II. Is this a fairly easy swap? The old motor came off in 3 minutes but it seems i am going to have to drill holes in the transom to keep this motor on secure. Anyone try something similar?

I am pretty sure the 65 hp will need to be bolted. Once you drill the holes make sure you seal them good with a good marine sealant. (not silicone).

OK. Thanks. How many should i drill to make it safe? I was guessing at least four.

Just a suggestion, you might want to take your boart to an OMC dealer. They have template plates for drilling the right holes in the right spot.
