Need help with stator

I have a 1981 80hp mercury and a 1983 90hp mercury they both have the exact same flywheel so does that mean the stators are the same? I am trying to fix the 80hp and the stator is no good but the stator on the 90 hp is brand new. The 90hp is a 6 cyl and the 80 is a 4 cyl will the stators still interchange?

The 6 cyl. stator has a extra high and low speed winding wire

I looked at the stators side by side and the only extra wire on the 90hp is a black wire.
