Ok, now onto the oil pressure switch- here are the instructions for how it needs to be wired-

So here is how I wired it for the fuel pumps- rather than having the fuel pumps run straight off of this switch "C" (as the diagram tells you is ok) I opted to have "C" serve as the "signal" wire for relay #1. That way the pumps are running straight from a fused battery source as I am still using both factory pumps (more to come on how I am making those work.)

On this switch, I have to find a "normally closed" wire and a "Normally Open" wire source. For the "normally closed" source on the starter solenoid, which terminal would I use? And for the "normally open", which source could I use? That part of the diagram I don't fully understand....
OK 2 things:
why do you want to use both pumps? One is a low pressure pump and one is a high pressure pump, so for a carb installation all you should need is the low pressure pump
second, now this is from memory but I think the power source on the starter solenoid is actually to bypass the oil pressure switch till the engine is running to keep the pump powered up. Once the engine starts, this power is cut off and the oil pressure switch closes so the pump is powered off of that. So you'd need a 4 terminal solenoid, with the wire for the fuel pump circuit connected to the small terminal that is opposite the one that the yellow/red wire (from the ignition switch) is connected to.

Disregard my question about moving the distributor- found the bolt that loosens the base to allow the distributor to move
Below should be your simple answer to wiring,

All hooked up. Having problem with fuel pressure. Marine carburetor requires 3.0 to 3.5lbs, any more than that the carb will flood and backfire. Info was from Summit and mechanic. Can't be 6lbs.

That surprises me, I think you could go as high as 5/7. Maybe depends on the carb. Never had that prob with a mechanical pump & Quadrajet

Did this ever get working? I am still struggling with my 5.7 GSI PEFS.
Yes! I'm sorry this spring has been CRAZY busy with work and play. I have had the boat out about 3 times and so far it's been running flawlessly. I will try and get the time to do a parts list, but overall it's pretty straightforward. I kept the 2 stock fuel pumps, and went with an aeromotive 13204 bypass fuel regulator. I had to run a return line from the regulator to the fuel tank. And I had to have 1 custom fuel hose made locally from the high pressure pump to the regulator. And the return line to the fuel pumps gets plugged off.

Right now the only issue I am trying to figure out is an initial bog with the edelbrock 1409 carb. Anytime I go WOT I get a short bog and then it takes off. I believe it's related to the accelerator pump, so trying to sort that now.. But I highly recommend the conversion so far!
