Not sure what you mean by that. If the trailer switch works, the drive is going up.

Where do these two wires go, and why is that breaker mounted under the green/white wire of the solenoid?

Then if you use the trailer button the drive does go up, correct? Just no down.

yes the drive does go up

your link for photo 197022 doesnt work so i am not sure which two wires you are referring to... and i dont know why it is mounted there except thats how it was when i got the boat....

the one on the left goes to the post on the solenoid just above it on the same side and the wire on the right goes into the trim motor itself

Before this gets too involved, what engine and drive do you have, year would help also.
I was also wondering about this "Trailer" switch. There is no "trailer switch" with a 3 button control. Just one button over-rides the trim limit switch, but you should have to use the top 2 buttons to raise the drive to trailer position.

I have 1984 with 470 merc.... yes your description of my switch system is correct have to push a button and then push the up but to place the outdrive in far up position for trailering.... the outdrive is a merc also...

That makes no sense, obviously the one on the left is getting power from the solenoid terminal, but the one on the right is orange/blue stripe. No such animal on a trim pump motor.

A three wire trim motor has a black, a blue, and a green wire to it (the blue and green wires may have a white stripe)
A two wire motor has only the blue and green.

You have an orange/blue strip ?????????????

did we end up figuring this out...i am getting the same thing on a 1981 wellcraft 200xl.
