Need help with 10hp seahorse Johnson

Just inherited a Johnson 10 hp. Probally not ran in 15 + years. Thinking of rebuilding/restoring.<br />Need help with age/year, parts available where?? Is it worth restoring or just fixing up to use?Owners/parts manuals available?<br />Model: QD-24B<br />Serial #: 2384961<br />thanks for any and all help.

Hi Basser<br />You have a 1963 hp johnson. All parts are readily available.

I have that same engine. When I got mine it needed a water pump and carb rebuild. I was able to get all the parts I needed from:<br />Lindenhurst Outboard<br />305 E. Montauk Hwy.<br />Lindenhurst, NY. 11757 or E-Mail<br />outboardwizard@aol.com

i have 2 of them engine they are great little engines. napa has alot of the parts also.i have seen alot of then is use still even know they are older engines they are pretty simple. if you dont have a manual get 1 its worth every penny

Wayne, Boater2 and Alcan...thanks for the info...this should get me started. Still courius to know if the motor should be restored to original condition or just used?

It's not a rare engine so use it. It's a great little outboard.
