Hello all,

Need help to identify the boat. This is a fiberglass 12.8 feet long, 5 feet wide boat. The previous owner said it is about 1975 Starcraft. I have some doubts that it is Starcraft Marine make though.

In the condition I got it it had 1962 Johnson 28hp OB. Which may suggest that it is even older.

Most of hardware is Braydon Boy make (Canada).

One it had a capacity plate (judging from holes on the console) which is missing.

Thanks.

What is the Hull Id #? Since it is supposed to be a '75 it should have the standard 12 place HIN. The first 3 letter will give you the make.

Unfortunately the only (ID) I could find is that decal on the stern shown on the first picture. Also, I think originally the boat was bought in Canada.

BTW, where HIN is typically placed on these old boats?

The pointy bow, automotive type steering wheel, cable steering, and smooth chine indicates to me it could be late 1950s to early 1960s, which have very automotive-like interiors.

If it is a '75 then it should be on the transom starboard side.

However if it is earlier than '72 as OV1961 suggests then it does not require a HIN.
