ok so jeff...to be clear....since it did turn over once,dont pull the plugs then? go right to the starter?

Hook your boat up and head north. You can run northbound right onto Bondos front yard. Bring piles of cash. We are have record heat in the 90's right through tuesday

I think from everything you have written you need to pull the starter and get it tested. It doesnt cost anything to check. You should do what Bondo says but if you cant pull the starter you better not pull the drive

thanks for the attitude bondo. that should help get the starter out faster. for a newbie like myself that hasnt owned a boat very long i like to ask alot of questions, sorry if they annoy you. i haven't bought any expensive parts, other then a $15 slave solenoid.<br /><br />of course i will use the excellent advice in these threads, thats why im asking. <br /><br />for all that care, im attempting to take it out this afternoon.<br /><br />jeeze.........

I dont think he is giving you attitude so much as frustration of wanting you to get it fixed. This site is about getting your boat diagnosed and fixed and we get frustrated also as we would like to see you do just that. Let us know how you make out today..........

well i finally got the guts to rip the starter out. kind of tough but im glad i did..as it started up first turn of the key after i cleaned up and reinstalled the starter!<br /><br />to all of you that helped me and listen to me whine, thanks a million!

Mkae sure you clean/coat all the electrical connections with some dielectric grease.
