need help! nipple fitting broke from vent lines

I have a 94 jonhson 175hp oceanrunner and I noticed fuel leaking from a lil fitting on the side of the engine block that runs to the other side by the carbs well come to find out the nipple fitting had s pin hole in it and was spitting fuel while it was ideling do I went to unscrew the fitting and broke off as you cab see on the photo so can someone please tell me how I can back out the broken piece and what was that fitting for

its a drain nipple(#335369) I use a little heat+easy out usually does the job for me. Its not screwed in its more like pressed.

I had a guy tell me just to block it off lol don't know what the out come of that would be. I think it's pressed in and if I use heat would the gas fumes be something to worry about? how critical is it to have that connected

Those little hoses are critical. ive seen engines not run on certain cylinders when they are blocked up. With a hole it may be running lean too.

That hose and fitting are critical to the motor idling properly. Fix it !!

I ordered the fitting and should be in, in a few day by my main concern Is getting the broke piece out I can't drill it out because as you can see in the photo where the throttle is attached to is in the way. I did have someone tell me to use a screw to back it out. Im worried to use heat on it since there are fuel lines around there

my error when ive done them they've been apart,you could try the screw thing.

So I should heat it up before I try to back it out? And what should I use to heat it up with?

Try threading a small wood screw in it and then pull it out with a vice grip.

Try a little but if it gets to hot it will melt the plastic.

That's what I was thinking but I didn't know is I needed to heat the stuck copper fitting to make it easier to pull out

Sorry about that I was thinking about something else. If they are copper, put some heat all the way around it. Try propane or Mapp gas. They may have been put in with some type of loc-tite and the heat will free it.

Hey guys! Great news I got the piece out with lil heat and a screw extractor. Thanks again for all the help and will keep everyone posted when I get the new nipple in
