Need help IDing this outboard, please help

I am new to boating and I can buy this 8 hp Mariner outboard. I saw it today and it looks like it is brand new, the owner said he has had it for about 8-10 years and never used it. He knew the guy he got it from then and does not believe that he used it much either. When I took the hood off it looked as if it was brand new, it really should no signs of use. I know I am new, but this was CLEAN. The guy who has it has been a avid boater and very mechanically inclined. Even though it has never been used by him, it was stored in his basement and he would put it in gear and move the propeller to make sure it did not seize, and he kept it lubed. I got the SN from it as well as a code, I think i found out what it is but wanted to check here as well. Let me know what you guys think and if you can help id the motor for the year. I also want to see once i have that info if i can find the manual online as well as parts listings. Is it still easy to get parts for this one?

Are you sure the number is 661 as this appears to be a series for the 5hp engines?

Could yours be a 6G1?

I have to go and double check it now, i found a link and it does look like 661 is a 5 HP

It was 6G1, I bought it today for $300 with a 6 gallon tank. I found out that it was made by Yamaha, and dates to 1982.
