I have looked high and low for these, to no avail. It is holding up a project on my '65 Mustang. After replacing a headlight switch I am going to convert my headlights to a relay system. I have them in place and I am constructing a wiring harness to back feed the relays thru the original head light sockets. That way I do not have to disturb the factory wiring harness. I have obtained the male headlight plug to plug into one of the original headlight sockets that will provide the signal back to trigger the relays. (one each, high beam and low beam)

In the process of converting to relays I will step up to a pair of 7" Cibie headlights running Narva 100w/90w H4 style bulbs.

I purchased a pair of high temperature headlight sockets (with pigtails) but they only have 16 gauge wire on them. I want to run 12 ga wire straight to the socket plugs.

Here is the bottom line. I need to get six 90? female solder/crimp connectors that have the little lock tab on them so that when they are inserted into the plastic socket they lock in place. I cannot find these for the life of me, nor can I find any pigtail sockets with anything larger that 16 ga wire. I would rather not have pigtails anyway. I would rather run my 12 ga wires straight to the sockets.

If anyone knows a source, please holler.

Try Tidewater Marine Electric in Norfolk, VA. They have or can get just about any electrical connectors you could want. PM me for specific contact info if you need it.

Do they have to be 90s ? Like these but 90s ?
Brass Female Lock Type Tab Connector - 5 Pack - The Repair Connector Store
These guys have the headlight connectors in ceramic but only 16ga.

Yeah BlkY2k, like that only in 90?. Straight in connectors will run the wires into the back of fender bucket. There is not a lot of clearance with a stock 7" tungsten bulb and even the factory used 90? connectors. The Cibie lights, with H4 bulbs, even stick out further to the rear.

I can't seem to find them, but I'm almost certain this place can get them/ has them if they exist, I'm just not looking in the right place. McMaster-Carr

Boomyal, I found out that they are called, Packard 59 terminals. Vehicles built during the 70s and 80s used packard 56 and 57s but they are smaller. Headlights use the 59s, but you are right cant seem to find just the terminals. The last link I posted comes with 3 of the 90s and the connectors that will accept up to a 10ga wire. Ill keep my eyes open for ya.

Ok Guys, I found them. Just ordered new connectors that come with unwired terminals that accept up to 10 ga wire. They were on the link that BlkY2k posted for Coimagination, Thanks all.
