Well I pulled the cover off my 73 Wellstar. Now the outboard is straight forward. That is coming off as soon as I get my stand built(the FAQ was HELPFUL). Now I was briefly looking over the boat today. How do I separate the shell from the hull to where I can scrap and clean the whole hull and inspect it before I re-glass it and add foam back to it.

I am at a lost on where to start the tear down because I want to tear it down into three parts. Trailer, hull & top shell. That way I can work on each individually part in my shop which is big enough for the boat yet I do not have much room to store stuff in there.

Under the rub rail around the outside are screws or rivets that hold the halves together.

Thank you. I hope it is screws! I'll find out tomorrow. Should have my shop cleaned out by then to get the boat in there. I just got out of the car scene so I have car parts EVERYWHERE.
