need help bad!!!

lost hull identification numbers for a 73 v-145 nb gladston....redid boat and threw it out i think....bought it from a friend who lost his paper work boat was sitting for years so he wrote me a bill of sale...how do i find these numbers or how can i get a new one to register the boat?????i am a new boater don't know much about boats really any help is greatly appreciated...thanks jack

The rigamaroll changes from state to state.<br />Here in Florida, I needed a bill of sale, on a boat with no title...Then,when I returned with that, they said i needed to get the past owner to apply for lost title.<br />I wish I could help you, espesially since I've been in your shoes,but the best bet,is go to the state's tag agency, and get "the list"...Ask the person helping you to write her/his name on a piece of paper too,as the "List" changes each time you visit,with every different clerk....Been THAT road too.<br />Good luck.<br /><br /><br /><br />------------------<br />the Early bird get's the worm...So, he don't have to stop for bait.
