Trying to find a starter for a 1982 350 chevy mercuries. DONT care if it from Autozone. A car one will get it to where it needs to be. Part number will help.
Thanks

why not look it up on auto zone yourself.

see if you can find what you are asking for

Chevy Mercuries — Clarifying the Confusion

There were never any “Chevrolet Mercuries” — Mercury was a separate brand owned by Ford Motor Company, not Chevrolet.

There are only 8 marine starters for GM bases motors

153 tooth flywheel (inline bolt pattern) or 168 tooth flywheel (straight across pattern) a direct drive or a PMGR. Then you have I/O vs Inboard (starter rotation)

Head to NAPA , bring your old starter and buy a marine replacement.

Most likely you have a direct drive, get a PMGR replacement

Do NOT use an automotive starter in a boat unless you want to meet Jesus

Get the starter rebuilt for a fraction of new. I replaced the starter on my boat. I had the starter rebuilt done by 9 am the next morning $138
