Need engine control cables for '63 merc 650. does anyone know where to find them?

I have not been able to locate these cables as they vary alot from 65 to date models. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are they different than the 600A Cables? Might be 65 up on them.

I have in the past taken a 34555A** cable and converted it to the 29564A** cable that you need by using the outer housing removing the center(bowden wire)and replaceing it with a piece of bowden wire without any factory ends on it and replacing the ends with the right ends available here http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...8&bnbr=70&bdesc=REMOTE+CONTROL+CABLE+ASSEMBLY It's kind of expencive if you have to buy all the peices and Mercury does not have bowden wire any longer but OMC dealers have it. Hope this helps

Ya can always keep an eye on Ebay for a whole box...and cables that might just fit..(lot of good motors turned to junk by non maintenance people..)
