Just found out my brother in law, has stage 4 prostate cancer, he is only 51 years old and actually has lived a pretty clean life, this is my wife's brother, not real close to him, but I hate to see my wife of almost 25 years going through so much pain, I know the feeling, I lost a sibling 4 years ago and it has affected me in many ways to loose her, Robbie is the baby of the family, this is not going to be easy on her. Perhaps a prayer or two if you lean that way, or just a thought if not. Just to throw misery on trouble, I also found out that a couple of weeks ago, my sisters husband has been told, if he don't quit drinking he will be gone in less than 6 months, he was the one that found my older sister and her husband when they died..

I know there is a stronger power than I, but man, I sure have to wonder why sometimes.

I think the hardest part of getting old is the regular loss of relatives, friends, old shipmates and childhood companions. My High School class is down to 7 (from 40).

I feel for you, MT Boatguy, and wish you and the better half peace.

I was dianosed with prostat cancer mysef in jan. of this year.if i had not gotten a simple blood test , iwould prob. not even know it.its called a psa test and mine went from 2.4 to 4.8 in less than a year.had op.on april 8 th. am now cancer free.i thank God every day for haveing a dr.like the one i have. all men should have a psa test starting at 35, my heart goes out to this gentalman and his fam,they will be in my prayers .
