Thats what I originally thought to but no transducer mounted to as* end of the boat..Navigation? If you are referring to the black bracket and the 2 plugs, they look like the power and transducer plugs on my Simrad Depth Finer. However, they also look like the plugs on a Humminbird I had a few years ago.
Climb under the dash and trace the wires. Transducers don't have to be transom mounted.Thats what I originally thought to but no transducer mounted to as* end of the boat..
Ya that's my next plan I figured I'd do that this afternoon. I was just thinking about it at work and figured maybe someone knows something I dont on this one. haha. Either way I'll probably pull it off. A large screen in that location will block 2 or 3 gauges at least. Just going to replace with small circular recessed console depth finder.Climb under the dash and trace the wires. Transducers don't have to be transom mounted.
Whatever floats your boat, but personally I find the digital gauges useless. Having a "picture" of the bottom and how it is trending is what I require.Ya that's my next plan I figured I'd do that this afternoon. Would this style transducer even work laying in the bilge? It seems to me it should have been mounted outside on the transom.could always look up the transducer and go from there. https://www.airmar.com/productinfo.html?category=MT&name=Marine Transducers
Glued to a single hull bottom, or contained within a box filled with fluid it would work.Would this style transducer even work laying in the bilge? It seems to me it should have been mounted outside on the transom.
All hummingbird use this style that you are aware of?That's a Humminbird transducer and the connections on the dash are for a Humminbird.
The two pin for power and the other for the transducer.
A lot of the Humminbird's look similar but some have different features. All hummingbird use this style that you are aware of?
No tape marks on it so idk what they were doing with it. Maybe just nervous to drill through the transom? IdkMy idea a puck transducer taped to the bilge or a thru-hull transducer in the bilge.
