nautolex vinyl sticking problem

I put vinyl down on the new wood deck in my boat. the "toe kick ' portion of the deck where it is vertical is metal. the vinyl starts to peel up around the edges,I used the adhesive from nautolex for the floor but on the "toe kick" part used spray adhesive. How can I secure this vertical piece so the edges dont peel away? trying to avoid another sticky mess to clean up.
I have no way to clamp or staple it in place while it dries. should I use the adhesive from nautolex? Trim piece size is 6"w x 4 ft

Use the adhesive from Nautolex. I also think you have to mechanically fasten the edges to get it to stay in place properly, using something like aluminum edging.

I never got mine to stick properly, but then I didn't have the Nautolex adhesive.
