Anyone see the "debris" that caused the last caution?

I think they used a featherduster to pick up the speck of dust.

Harvick for the win. Stuart-Haas has their first win of the season with the newbie. So, is Kevin in the Chase too? Kinda takes the drama out of the whole Chase thing...

#31 was 7th......

In the Chase with the new format. A win just about ensures a Chase spot.

Not sure I'm liking this new format. A guy could finish in the top 5 in points and not make the Chase. Somethin' doesn't seem right. I know they're trying to put more emphasis on winning, but every week we're already filing the Chase field...... Points could potentially mean nothing.... Gone is the, "We had a good points day", which isn't all bad...

I thought so originally, but not really. They take 16 cars into the chase. The average over the years has been 11.5 winners per season, so it will probably be the last 3 - 6 spots will be based on points. So without a win, points are VERY important.

The only thing good (????) about is if Jr. bangs his head again, he's most likely in the Chase.

Yeah, I was just going off last year which I believe there were 16 winners +/- 1. I didn't average it out throughout the years...... It's possible the field could be set relatively early w/o multiple winners, which we will get. We'll see how it plays out...

Didn't get to see much of the race, just saw that I stayed in the middle of the pack, just like Smoke. Guess it makes sense ...

As for the chase, points also matter if there are 17+ winners, because the winners with the low points will be out. So a win doesn't necessarily guarantee you a spot either.
