Well boys and girls, It's time for race #2 in the 2014 schedule. The Profit on CNBC 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Later this afternoon we have the first practice and this evening the first knockout qualifying. Also this marks the first time the new qualifying format is used by Trucks, N-Wide and Cup, all three of the major series. Maybe a moot point since the weather has an 80% of t-storms today, so there is a chance qualifying could be rained out.

Don't forget to set up your Fantasy Live teams by the deadline - five minutes before the scheduled start. If anyone wants to join the fantasy fun we have have a league at NASCAR Fantasy Games. The league name is iboats and the password is float. Come and join us us for the good natured trash talk and so you too can be beat by an 8th grader.

Lets go go racing in Phoenix! :D

Keso got the pole and a new track record. I listened to it on MRN - Not on TV for me. It was exciting NOT! :blue:

I did the same GA_, I think it may have been the same broadcast that I listened to on XM90. I understand it a bit better now.

Hey Cowboy - You're in my thread. LOL You're the first to jump in, what can I say? :)

I expected more effort by the drivers to get a good time. Only a few put out a real try, in my opinion. They're learning, I guess.

I just set my team up for this week. I had to change one driver and the pickins to choose from and stay under the cap is tough

A C note doesn't get us much these days. ;) I have my picks done also and even after changing them twice, I still don't feel good about them.

I haven't been able to get the "renegotiate" button to work. Was hoping to free up a little more cash ... Oh well.

I think the renegotiate button only works if someone on your team's price has gone down. So far I haven't seen any movement. From what I can tell they only change salaries after the current race and before Tuesday at 5:00 PM Eastern. Then it is set for the rest of the week. Close as I can come to an answer and not definitive.

I am playing two Teams. One for iboats and another with a group of local fans. I am little obsessed right now

BTW, Phoenix is a great track to put on your list. The Hill is an outstanding seat. Been to the last two fall races. Love it!!!

Haven't seen much of the race yet. I see there has been 1 "competition" caution. Did they have rain and the rubber was washed away? Due for a debris caution.

The rain was last night, so the comp caution was scheduled.

What, you're not plow riding?

It has been a boring race so far. There has not been much movement in the cars position.

Not today! Finishing the roof, going to dig out the kids sled and see if I can get mine out of the trailer w/o burying it. If I get stuck, it will sit till spring....
