I have to say: the Chase plus Fantasy have made this the most fun NASCAR season for me ever. And I don't really even have a favorite driver... Shield up!

Great week for FlaCowboy. :)

I won't retract that he finished above me, but when I looked after the race FC was way up. Now I see that QC took the prize.

Way to go QC, sorry for the confusion.:sleeping::confused:

Dukes up this year, QC. :D You do have a fave, it's just that he retired and Newman has his car. ;)

Hey, I used to love NASCAR, but the powers that be have neutered the whole thing. Take off the restrictors and engine standards. Stop limiting the spoilers. Let them race for real. What they have now is a soap opera that goes left.

The final FL results are in. QC is dusting and polishing his brand new :first:. And he had a good week in his other league - Go get 'em QC. :thumb:

Our overall leader, 64osby lost a little to FlaCowboy, but still maintains only a 547 point lead. Only 547 points with two to go! :D

You know that what you describe would lead to two things:

1) Dead drivers and fans
2) The hi buck teams would dominate even more than they do

This is a business, just like the NFL, MLB etc. You gotta have fans, you gotta have advertisers (sponsors), you gotta have players (drivers), and you gotta have owners. All need to be happy or you got nuttin'.

Look at all the Formula One problems. Well established names are going by the way side - Lotus, for one. The US Grand Prix only had 18 entries and the year started with 22 teams. The big buck teams have squeezed out the low buck teams. F! has become an insane toy for the rich and no common folk can participate. I really question why Haas is getting involved with it.

Nascar has spoken. 1 crew member from the #5 team and 2 from the #24 team got fined $25K and a a six race suspension. Another #24 crewman was docked $10K and a 3 race suspension. In addition, #24 crew chief Alan Gustafson and #5 crew chief Kenny Francis were whacked with $50K fines and on probation for 6 races. Gordon, Harvick and Keselowski were not fined or punished. I felt Harvick deserved something for egging on and pushing Keso back toward Gordon to really kick off the fray.

Double Secret Probation sure took the wind out of Bluto's sails.

Ya know, I think if Gordon and Keso went 3 rounds in the pits, Nascar would have done about the same thing. As long as it stayed with just the two of them, it draws attention, helps the ratings and adds more tension to the Chase. But when crew members join in, a line is crossed. Kinda like NHL hockey when a third player or more team mates join in, the joiners get the worst penalties.

The interesting question... is... who punched Gordon? Based on this it was a Kahne or Gordon crew member.... ???

I don't think Jamie Little and her camera guy got a good shot of Keso's crew guy nailing Gordon. Or was it Harvick? mmmm

I am confused? I thought in the race I watched it was between Jeff, Brad and Kevin, was Kahne's guys mixed up in the boxing match in the pits also?

Edit: I just read an article that explains everything, I think!

I think Bowyer could have crawled in under the scrum and laid a couple on Gordon. He never caught up to him the last time.

There were so many milling about that Nascar couldn't figure it out, so they picked some likely candidates so they didn't embarrass themselves by punishing any Chasers.
