Nascar Race #36 - iFL Championship Weekend At Homestead.

So far today the Cup practice has been cut short and the Xfinity qualifying shortened as well. Happy Hour is planned for 1PM followed by the race for the X-Men Championship. I wonder what Nascar's plans are if the skies open? Rainy Phoenix left a lot of unhappy Cup fans and drivers.

Rain or shine, it has to be an experience. Have fun, Sasto. Keep the rain gear close.

They got the Xfinity race in. Kyle Larson wins the race and Chris Buescher wins the inaugural Xfinity Championship.

All we have left is the Cup shindig tomorrow.

Saw the last 10 laps. Larson made the most of the high line.

He hugged the outside most of the race. Dillon tried and couldn't hold it. W to Larson.

I liked the kid more after the race when asked why he didn't do a big, smoky burnout. His response was why take away from Buescher's Championship moment. Good kid!

Once Larson learns, you can't hug the highline on every single track that you race on, he is going to be a great driver, I believe that is where he is still lacking, he has not figured out quite how to read the line on the different tracks, Homestead lends itself to running on the wall, where many of the tracks don't.

I also commend him, he allowed Chris to take the limelight, which showed a lot of class, I was also impressed with Chase's interview after the race, where he said, I am not going to get into the mix of Jeff's run for the cup, I will watch, I will root for him, but it is is his race and I am simply a fan on Sunday!

Sounds like we have some new class acts getting ready to hit the bricks with the big boys!

If Larson wins his 1st Cup race tomorrow I bet he does a burnout. Can't blame him for that.

I guess we are going anyway. Have camper and will stay till Monday if needed. I don't have a horse in this race, but I'm pulling for Truex. The underdog from a family of fishermen. Otherwise....Run 'em like you stole 'em!

Truex is a great story, the little one car team from Denver playing with the big boys, then theirs Jeff in his last race and Kyle missing the first 11 races. Wish I could be there, it's going to be nine kinds of drama I think. Just hope it doesn't rain after the halfway mark and they all get to race for the finish.
