Cup is running the Hollywood Casino 499 at Kansas on Sunday. X-Men are also running Saturday. Joey Logano clinched the first spot in the Eliminator round with his win on Sunday.

MRN schedule of events:

44 entries this week and Timmy Hill is on the bubble, qualify on speed or go home. For once weather is not an issue, no rain and partly cloudy skies are forecast.

News and Notes
  • Penalties from Charlotte - A bunch of Cup warning, pit stall selection losses and just general fruphra. Three were for modifying aero, why aren't they getting harder hits for fooling with the cars? Busch18's XFINITY penalty from a couple of weeks ago was upheld, but reduced.
  • Dale Jr. is running a sort of tribute car to Buddy Baker next year. It will have a similar paint scheme as Baker's Gray Ghost, in which he won the 1980 Daytona 500.
  • Jr. and Shrubby are not happy with the oil cleanup or lack of cleanup. They both blame oil on the track for their misadventures with the wall. Only true iFL insiders know it was errant BBQ sauce that missed the intended target - Joey Logano.
  • Atlanta is offering a Perfect Weather Guarantee for the Feb, 28th race next year. I think there is a good chance of paying this one off.
  • Kasey Kahne is a new daddy - Tanner Lee Kahne was born on Tuesday
  • Some new basic rules for next year were announced, a cut and paste from Jayski's;rules.PNG
  • TV ratings dived again. Televising the Charlotte race on NBCSN after the rain didn't help, but still?

iboats Fantasy Live

64osby won at Charlotte for his 7th :first this year. He also cut FlaCowboy's overall lead to 222 points. Are we making a race out this in the late stages?

Update and finalize your picks before the cut-off on Sunday. Good luck, all.

Is it just me, or are your linkie pictures not working? You might need to get in touch with a moderator to help you out with that, buddy!

Lets call it a VB thing, aspeck.

My browser crashed and on recovery everything looked fine on my end. It should be OK now.

Maybe we should move this to Non-Boating Technical? I am taking it as a recommendation:

1) Purposely spin out your browser to bring out the yellow
2) Look around after you straighten her up and say "What? All looks fine on my end,"

Black flag, I think. LOL

Qualifying is over and Keso has the pole. The rest of the top twelve are Edwards, Busch18, Harvick, Hamlin, Gordon, Truex, Blaney, Busch41, Newman, Kenseth and Biffle.

Missed the start, but tuned in just in time to see the Yeley caution.

Is Harvick feeling a vibration?

Boy I tell ya, that was one of the best moves I have seen all year, Joey, let Matt have it and it cost Matt the race, now that is racing at its finest in this day and age!

Logano picked a good time to spin the leader Kenseth. Matt can't be very happy with Joey.

That was racing, pure and simple, Lagano simply moved him out of the way! Matt would have been in the same position if it had have been the King or the Intimidater on his bumper!

Whoops - Danged slow Fantasy Live! 64 scooted around QC for the win. Sorry QC, can you tape the gift wrap so it looks good?

I think Joey cooked Matt's Chase chances with the bump. It is racin' boys.

HA...!!! I Knew it...you fellows are teaming up on me...

QC...I did everything I could to let you win today...someone else took it from ya...:hungry: where is the cake and ice cream...?

It is a good thing Logano got my text message and spun Kennseth or that 64 would be ALOT closer to me...:D

Last time I looked after the race was over QC was leading, but FL did have Keso winning the race. I was in 4th or 5th

speck, thanks for the blocking, but you did let Joey slip by you.

Joey showing some old school style there. :bump2: Nice pick for the winner FC. :sorrow:

I'm just trying to stay in the clean air, waiting for an opportunity. :spider:

I even waited until FL showed Logano as the winner and QC was still leading at that point, so I posted QC as the winner. Then 64 pulled a Joey on QC and shoved him into the wall.

Cowboy did jump from the bottom with the Logano win. Maybe some of that BBQ sauce got on Kenseth's tires.

Hey, I never touched QC's bumper, I was back in 4th or 5th. Looked like QC had a tire go down on the last lap. He slowed everyone down and I was able to ride the high line to the front.:D

It would have been great to have QC win on his B Day. ;)

BBQ sauce would have spun him out or he would have dropped the snap.:lol:

i'm not too pleased with how 'happy' jr was at the end of the race. didn't seem to have much fight left in him.

If any of us had His Money....we would not care either...:D

We watch these races thinking that the drivers "should" have the same outlook they we the spectators have... However...most of the older drivers are millionaires and in my opinion really do not have the passion that the younger drivers have. I am sure that most all would like to win a championship but when they know the car is just not running right then what can a driver do other than complain...
