The Big One that Never happened...

Looked to me like everyone was waiting for someone else to make a move...and they all got caught riding in a circle like on a merry go round following the leader.

Does Dillion have a pilots license...:D

Nope - Flunked landing. But he did walk away. :D

This was a freight train race. What happened to the two car draft that worked before?

This new Gen 6 car was supposed to be able to have more acceleration and handling for passing...or so I thought.

It appeared to me that everyone was content to finish where they were in line. I was shocked going into the last lap and they were still in a line. They normally would have fanned out earlier. Of course Junior and Dillon would have waited. But the guys halfway thru the field and back weren't going to win unless they jumped out of line. I just don't understand. It "almost" looked like they didn't wanted to alter the Chase with "the big one"...... Very disappointing finish. Looked like no-one wanted to go for the win.....

I was waiting for the back cars to shoot to the inside and try to move up. A funny finish too and no big one.

This should make Martinsville an interesting race. Gordon on up still have a chance, although I think Gordon is down to his last chance next week, if it wasn't this week.

Some Martinsville stats:

Johnson has 8 wins including the last two and 16 top 5's.
Kenseth has only 3 top 5's and no wins
Shuttlecock has 8 top five's and no wins.
Harvick has 1 win and 3 top 5's.
Gordon has 7 wins (2005 his last win) and 26 top 5's.

Some drivers have a track the matches their style - JJ and Gordon have led almost 6000 laps in total. The other three - less than 1200 total.

So who will win? :noidea:

Even if there wasn't a big one, fine. But at least race hard to the checkers. Lining up like a train and not even making an attempt to pass is not racing. They should have started spreading out with 3 to go, at the latest 2. What happened to giving 100% rule? If that was 100%, pfffft.............. I'm done ranting.............. I think................... And to think QC has to sit thru all that......... That fast forward button may get used.....

I read the giving 100% rule doesn't apply to plate races because of the lay back strategy used by many drivers. nascar forgot to tell the teams when to wake up and go for the win. This was a boring race. I'm joking about no big one, too many chances of someone getting hurt when 10-15 cars start flying all over.

I Blame the lack luster finish ALL on NASCAR for Not throwing the Caution Flag with 10 to go...

Wait a second...maybe Nascar was waiting on the Big One Also... :faint2:

I think Dillon should get serious style points. He brought that thing back in on all four tires. All of them were up
