That has been the rumor, and it's not that new. Odd to me too, but Tony is a hot head and he may have made hat decision back when he was saying that they didn't deserve to be in the Chase . . .

My recollection was it was after his 25th and 15th finish, after the 4th Chase race, when Tony said Grubb was done. He has since backed off that a little and they are supposed to meet with Haas and discuss the teams direction. Grubb may or may not be looking for a new team ... will have to wait till later in the week or next week to find out for sure. At least that is my understanding of it.

Kinda sad to think you can get a guy a big paycheck, help you win 5 races that really matter and be told you won't be back. There may other reasons that we don't know and Stewart may have given Grubb notice when he was blowing steam after a bad finish in two Chase races. I hope Stewart isn't one of these people that think they are the only talent on the team.

I just heard today that he(Grubb) is to meet with Hendrick Motorsports this week, not surprising he would be a great addition to the team.....
