This is an incredible waste of $$. For years Nascar has tried to lure new fans all the while losing their long-time base. This will do no more than countless other failed ideas.
Don't get me wrong, it will be interesting to watch but I don't understand the colossal waste of money.

Nascar 2022 - The Coliseum Clash

At 3PM today the 2022 Nascar season kicks off in the LA Coliseum. A temporary 1/4 mile asphalt track was built on top of the football and athletic fields. We'll see how the Next Gen performs in semi-race conditions. Jayski has today's schedule;

Former NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer struck and killed a pedestrian on a highway in Missouri earlier this month, police said. Bowyer showed no signs of impairment at the time of the accident.

NASCAR's Cup Series will have an unprecedented street race next July 2 on a course that includes Lake Shore Drive, Michigan Avenue and South Columbus Drive, where the start/finish line and pit road will be located directly in front of Buckingham Fountain.
