I see the difference in the front ends of the cars, the Ford actually resembles a Mustang. If they are so picky to go to the extent looking for bondo can cars with different designs have an advantage over others? Are they the exact dimensions hood to tail, door to door etc.?

As far as I know only the nose and tail are slightly different. It's all about aerodynamics when the speeds are so high. If you hear them talking about "side draft", it how the air comes off the side of a car to affect a car beside it. Minor changes from bondo or metal shaping can give a car an advantage by pushing the other car with air pressure.

Iron - Did you just see Wallace take the air off Bell and somehow Bell saved an almost 90 degree turn? That's was air taken off Bell's spoiler and they weren't that close.
