Qualifying is now finished after the completion of post-Q'ing inspection. Kurt Busch was 21st and Paul Menard was 14th. Now starting in 36th and 37th - The back of the field. The rest of the 35 cars passed so Hamlin is worth 5 pole points.

Teams have been stretching rules for years and the latest is using black or flat paint to befuddle the inspection lasers. Here's a shot of Ty Dillon's car after this morning's inspection before the "developer spray" was cleaned off. Kinda looks like Glass Wax we used to decorate windows using stencils at Christmas. Elliott wins the 2nd heat over The Twerp. Good racing again with these two and the 9 had over a second over the 18 at the line.

Sounds like it finally got to Dad, Bill Elliot has announced he is going to run the Mid Ohio race, I believe he will be the first Hall of Famer to get back in a car after being inducted.

Heat 3 restart and Elliott stays in 1st until he wiggles and The Twerp goes around him. The 9 is still pressuring the 18.
