tested old rectifier and got strange readings so i just replaced it. finally got to the water today and the thing runs great, you just bump the key and it takes right off. i do have a few things to work out on it. also is the a impeller that goes bad or something in the drive of these things? kinda slow on take off and ifl you open up and it it like the engine goes but the jet is slipping? i will check intake to see if it is plugged tomorrow but any ideas would be great. and thanks again for all the help, joe.

These things are slow out of the hole and do take some time to plane and really get up to speed , I put a set of smart tabs on mine and they are a godsend for these boats.

pulled the wear ring out and it had some damage so i jb welded it and honed it till we had .005 gap all way around. took out this weekend and this little boat rocks now.also took my neice with us (8 years old) and she caught a nice large mouth and a real nice catfish! thanks for all the help, we can finally have some fun this summer.
