Mystery Boat

I have a 1942 teak wood boat called a witchcraft de luxe. I cannot find anything on it it was made by sears and roebuk. Anyone know anything about this boat?

Welcome to Iboats! It'd be really nice to bring that baby back to life... she'd be beautiful! Not sure if this has any relation but Sears and Roebuck had a line of outboard motors called Waterwitch outboards... Here's a lil info... this could be the standard boat to go along with that line... again just an idea

The Waterwitch was Sears and Roebucks brand name outboard motor. The first Water Witch (two words) went on sale in their 1933 catalog. The early outboards were manufactured by Lockwood, Caille and Muncie Gear Works.

In 1936 Kissel Industries of Hartford, Wisconsin received an exclusive contract with Sears and Roebuck to manufacture a complete new motor line. The new outboards would be called Waterwitch (one word). Kissel Industries never marketed outboards under any other name, including their own.

In 1944 Kissel Industries was purchased by West Bend Aluminum Company. The relationship continued with Sears and Roebucks through this transition. This brought and end to the Waterwitch brand of outboard motors in 1945.

Ya i had read some about the waterwitch and it seemede to be the closest to the witchcraft that i had found. ive been all over the internet looking for info on the witchcraft and browsing antique boat pages but i cant find anything on them or find a picture of a restored one. all i have it the original plaque and a copy of the original article from summer 1942. i want to sell it because i dont have time to restore it 3 small kids and another on the way occupiues my time. but im curious as to how much i should sell it for it its "needs restored" condition.

I think you should sell it for $1.00. To me! Of course, that would have to include shipping to Ohio. I'll make it beautiful again!

haha that wouldntg be to hard considering im in waynesville, right next to ceaser creek lake about 38 miles from columbus youll have to do better than 1$ tho

whats a Penn Yan? i know for a fact its a witchcraft de luxe i have an original copy of the sears and roebuk 1942 summer catalog in which it was debuted. but i cant find anything on it like it doesnt exhist. my main curiosity it to its value.

I just bought a 1942 sears aluminum boat... totally vintage with awesome rivets... any idea on how much this is worth??
