My Suzuki DF 115 stops, marks the temperature signal and sound 8 beeps

My Suzuki DF 115 works fine, but when it is idling (the boat is not moving) after about two minutes it stopped, it beeps every eight seconds and marks the temperature signal.
Ever also stopped sailing very slowly.
Then starts normally, without problems.
I must say that I have this problem since I have accidentally crossed the polarity installing two batteries I got into the boat and melted the main fuse engine 60 amps.
It's possible that it's a failure of temperature probes? How do I find fault?

Is it 8 continous beeps or some beeps then a pause and more beeps? ie: 3 beeps, pause then 5, etc?

It's one beep every eight seconds

The only code I could find is 1 beep then 1 beep. It does not specify how long the one beep continues. Take a look at the attached.

I just noticed that the chart is basically for the 2004 engines. It may or may not pertain to your 2006 engine.

some motors have a maintenance reminder,
is it possible this is what you are hearing maybe

I think that is not a maintenance reminder, because when it happen the engine stops, and then beeps one beep every 8 seconds and the temperature light turns on. When you turn off the key, you can start the engine normally, and it works fine..... I think that is a problem with one of the temperature probe, that fails and think that the engine is warming up .....

There are no problems with a motors sensors that will shutdown the motor.

maybe the beeping is a warning that the motor died without you turning the key to off.

some motors are so quite now a days some may not notice the motor died without the buzzer

check with your local Suzuki dealer

Hi, it's like 3 years ago but I'm having the same conditions with my 2008 df115. Temps light on all the time, as soon as I turn the key, even if engine is not running. Alson have a beep every 8 seconds. Both temp sensor resistance tested good with multimeter. Did you found something???
