Well I finally decided to get started on fixing the floor on my boat. After reading about some experiences of other in here I was terrified to cut into the floor of my boat. But I'm glad that it's not as bad as I thought.

Please be my guest and look at my project.
My Project

I would love to hear what everyone has to say.

I think I'm going to add some customizing to my boat since I'm in there. Maybe a post seat in the back for fishing, and maybe some storage compartments into the floor, but I would have to raise the height of the floor at least 8 inches if not more. Maybe I'll just continue the height of my seat base where my batter goes to the back section of the boat.

So give me as many ideas as you want. This is a learning experience for me.

Just hope I make it for Bass openning :D

Man, that thing was swampy inside!!! How do the stringers look??? Are you going back with carpet inside? If you are going to be doing a lot of fishing, you may want to consider going with a fiberglass floor. Carpet+Fish+Water=EEEEW!

Keep up the good work!!!

What could I use instead of carpet for the floor?
I didn't really want carpet on the floor, maybe there is an epoxy paint that is non slip or something.

Anyone have any comments on floor finishes?

I just removed my floor and replaced the wood, glassed in a new deck and I decided to go with this marine grade vinyl flooring, I just layed it down yesterday and some more tonight so I will let you know how it looks tommorow, so far so good though, much better than the rug that was in there before..

http://forums.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=26;t=004450
