Man that's a pretty boat!...looks almost new. I'll bet the previous owner was a maintenance nut and/or didn't use the boat much, which is great for you! $5000!..what a steal!

Re: My new boat :)

Thanks everyone! I was fortunate that I was the first caller on the boat and basically worked out a purchase price before seeing the boat in person. The orginal owner told me the phone rang off the hook for the boat. I am grafeful she was a woman of her word and did not sell the boat out from under me. I think she under estimated the interest the boat would draw - but cash in hand helps. Obviously, the original owner did not use the boat much and a big plus she kept it stored inside its entire life. The marina tech who was there to answer my questions and give me the mechanical history, told me the boat has approx 70 hrs on it.

I live right off the back side of Lake Erie in the Town of Tonawanda, NY. But the boat will be used mainly on several inland lakes in Canada and the WNY region. When i pulled the engine cover it looks like it was never run. It shines as much as the exterior of the boat... I have all service records and in the spring I will give it the once over. I am still pinching myself that I was able to pick up this fresh water only boat up for 5K. My young family will get years of enjoyment out of it I am sure.... I hope she gives me 40 mph, that would be about just right.:D

First off, nice boat!

My buddy has a 97 Sea Ray 18 footer with a Merc 125.

It would do 50 when he got it, but it wouldn't pull a slalom out of the water.

He ended up with a prop that's great for waterskiing, but the boat tops out at about 35.

FWIW. :)

Wow, thanks man. I have done just that - I sent along the Serial # this evening. Hopefully he has the manual matching my outboard.

Nice pics of a real nice boat!

Don't get too upset when you get the first few scratches,
and have a good time keeping her sparklin' clean.
