Welcome To the family:triumphant: congrats on the tinny purchase. There are several guys in here that are full of the "craft" knowledge. They have inspired me as we'll as others to succeed at our restorations. These are the best guys grouped in one area I ever seen. Enjoy the boat and I hope as others will to see a thread of yet another Starcraft project on here.

Welcome to the Tinsanity. If you aren't a little nuts, you soon will be. :joyous: Yep, I think you have either a Jet or a Jet Star. Seating is the difference between them. Look in the brochures to see if you come up with a match to your measurements. http://forums.iboats.com/starcraft-boats/starcraft-brochures-349830.html And the resto threads have a few Jet/Jet stars there for ideas. http://forums.iboats.com/starcraft-boats/starcraft-rebuilds-restorations-theyre-all-here-494143.html

You have some work ahead but that makes it all the better knowing you brought her back to life. You did a smart thing by posting pics right away. The Starmada like pictures. Always happy to see an old tinny returned to the water. Have fun.

Look for transom end caps on ebay or send MichaelP a PM, he used to make the end caps.

Welcome to iboats.

If your transom is stuck, the best way to get it to pop out is to pry up on it from the inside bottom with a 2x4 or something like that. I tried all manner of ways to get mine to pull out from the top unsuccessfully but it popped right quick with the 2x4 prying.

Looks like there's no turning back now. Once you go craft you never go back:D. Personally, and yes this is just my opinion, I would get rid of the wood or at least replace and treat it. I'm planning to eliminate all wood possible. But that's just me. Like to see my boat last another 40 years before I have to tear it down again. Good luck and happy painting.
