My First Restoration

Hi, this banksrus . I have an aluminum 1975 StarCraft vhull I want to restore. I have little to no experience with this kind of work. However I plan to start and finish this job. How you may ask, well the short answer is I plan to find a similar project and copy it. It would also be nice if you guys could chime in and lend a little advice as well as pictures, and websites. I would especially appreciate so me assistance locating a similar project that I can use as a guide to complete this job. Here are some pictures to help you guys help me on this project.

Great first post... because you posted pics with it! That's the best thing to do for the best help!

It looks like someone in the past has comitted a Cardinal Sin and fiberglassed your aluminum boat deck in, not a good thing for an aluminum boat.

You want to be able to remove and replace your decking without having to destroy it should you ever need to make repairs or modifications below deck.

There's also many more aluminum boat restos in this forum, spend as much time as you can reading as many as you can before starting work on your boat and your project will go smoothly.
