went out on my boat sunday stoped for a moment but when i started off again it woudl not go forward only reverse. i have taken the cables off the shifetr to use by hand and i still have no forward gear. i have taken the propeller of to make sure the pin has not broken but mine does not have a pin as it sits on a splined shaft. i have read on a forum that it could be the shift rod in the leg whitch has become disconected how do i re-conect the shift rod does any one have any ideas would be gratful thanks............its a mercury 2 stroke 25hp the serial num on the tag says 5827237 would this be the serial number
