my boat won’t sit on the front bottom roller

my boat is a 1965 14ft v haul and i’m under the impression that the tralier is for that exact boat but my trailer has 4 kneel roller and i replaced the as the old ones from when i bought the boat they were destroyed and new that i replaced it it won’t sit on the front kneel roller even though they are the same size and all at the same height and as it looked to sit more on the one behind it if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it thanks

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... On most trailers, they're adjustable, so adjust yer's to fit better,....

Have to do the realignment as you change rollers.

thanks. but that’s the problem they don’t adjust the bracket for the rollers is just bolted flat to the trailer

Ayuh,...... You should be able to extend it with a couple pieces of flat stock of the appropriate size,....

that was what i kinda had in mind but i will send a photo later when i get back home

Instead of doing them 1 at a time. Change all the keel at the same time.

Trailers need to be adjusted to fit the boat, no way to adjust the boat to fit the trailer. There should be other supports to support the hull besides the keel rollers. If the rollers are not adjustable, you may need to convert them to adjustable mounts to suppirt the hull. Pictures of the whole trailer are needed to help you out.

Definitely need a picture. Often rollers are just in use while boat is being loaded and when the boat is at a different angle than when the the boat is finally all the way up on the trailer.

i ended up figuring it out i used steel bushing and and washer and along with longer bolts to raise the kneel roller up enough and i move the winch bracket up about 3 inches and it seem all good now also side note does anyone know what those side rollers circled in the one photo are called?

From the pic, they appear to be added support. Without seeing the rest of the trailer, hard to say for sure.

Those side rollers don't actually support much weight. The keel rollers do that. Those should be adjusted so that when the boat is all the way on the trailer...resting on the keel rollers... that the boat sits level (side to side) and doesn't rock. I've just pushed them up against the bottom of the boat by hand, and tightend them. If you want to get perfect, then level the trailer side to side, then the boat on the trailer. Just as long as it doesn't wobble, you're good.

They are called straight rollers. Often used on some small roller bunks.
