Need I say more? This is not normal. And I thought when it was up to the top of the trailer tire was bad. More storms all night yet. At my lake, their pulling out boats and campers. Hasn't been this bad in over 30 years. Stuff in my shop where I work is under water. Will be an interesting day tomorrow.

Thats my boat, but not the boat I use. That was collected collateral from a past bad experience. Whats sad is that under the motor cover is a 1962 volvo engine and outdrive. It WAS in good condition. I might be able to flush it out hopefully.

Well in Mississippi, the insurance company’s called hurricane damage floods, so you had better check your policies to see if your hurricane coverage is up to date. :(

Looks like it's time for a new national reservoir and canal system so we can't start collecting some of this crazy rain and putting it where we need it.

Man, SS, I feel for ya! But thank you for keeping it there, and not sending it on to us. You are a good man!

Hope the clean-up goes well, easy, and without too much damage to important stuff.

Re: My back yard

Its a 89 model Zach. Its a project that I will be starting on in the near future. It had the OMC Cobra drive 2.3. I maybe parting out the OMC stuff that is still there.

Well, I got to work expecting the worst but it wasn't too bad. My garage doors are about 1 1/2' above street level. Water did get into the shop under the doors and about half way up an incline to the main floor. Got the hose out and washed out the mud.

During that storm yesterday afternoon, a woman and her 9 year old daughter got caught in the flood at Kingwood Center. Kingwood is like a plantation that was given to the city by the wealthy owner when he died. It is known for its lavish gardens. The mother and daughter was in an area where the water took them by surprise. It swept the girl away and the mother followed. The girl was small enough and passed through a 24" drain tile. The mother didn't make it while trying to save her daughter.

The storms in the last two days have washed out several roads and bridges. 2 funnel clouds were reported with one being caught by a camera. Its a bummer not having my boat ready, but I'm sure glad it wasn't docked this time. Guess that is what I get for living by the Great Lakes Weather Magnet.

The residents in this area have a saying "If you don't like the weather, just wait a day and it will change."

Hope the weather clears and there's no more loss of life SS. Best of luck with the clean up.
