Hello everyone I have good news. My wife was released from the hospital yesterday. Her heart doctor believes she will make a full recovery. Her heart is only working at 40%, but that should increase with time. She has a long road ahead of her. The doctors at the VA were excellent. I'm really happy to have her home. She will be out of work for a while. She is at home resting and being pampered by the first mate and myself.
We are all very thankful of all the thoughts and prayers. It was certainly divine intervention that saved her. We now begin the new year with a new lease on life for my beautiful wife, and a new sense of purpose.
Thank you all again for the thoughts and prayers. Happy New Year from the Proffitt family here in North East Tennessee...
Yes the first mate and I are going to have to really step up our cleaning game... She's pretty understanding though. A 15 year old doesn't always get the corners when he cleans, and my 41 years haven't produced the best maid around. We're happy to do all that needs since we get to keep our mom/wife around. She feels good but tires pretty quickly. Trying to get her to stop and slow down has always been challenging for me. She is not one to let stuff around the house pile up. She's in the kitchen right now fussing about our lack of dish washing skills.
I am glad to hear. My wife has been a nurse in a chest pain for about 11 years just moved on to giving stress tests. Its not as uncommon as one may think, The important thing is that you did not ignore it and took her to the hospital. You would be amazed at the amount of people who ignore the symptoms and find out months later they had a heart attack and the damage is worse.
