Must stringers be angled?

Hi everyone! I've been working on a 94 17' starcraft. Needed to replace the floor and found the stringers mostly rotted. They look to have been plywood so I got some identical looking exterior grade plywood. After cutting 2 of them out I realized I hadn't angled the base of them to match the hull. Would it be serious if I kept them as is and used West system epoxy/hardner + 404 under them to fill in the gap

No they don't need to be, and filling the gap with epoxy is a bit pricy.

Thanks for the replay ondarvr! What would you suggest filling the gaps with? I've been going back and forth about epoxy vs poly all week and haven't come to a clear decision yet.

It won't make a difference in what resin you use, both will work well.

Do you guys have a specific brand of poly that you'd prefer for a job like this?

I use US Composite out of Florida and buy their 435 laminating resins. It is always fresh and works very well without any issues ever. They were the best price for my area anyways. JMHO
