murcury motor hestiates

Hi1 we have a 1991 oil injected Black max motor135hp, works well when not towing anything but hestiates when trying to pull out 70kg skier. Has anyone else diconnected automatic oil injection. Would this work mixing oil 50:1.

What makes you think its the oil injection? When is the last time the carbs were rebuilt? Also you might try doing a link & sync as outlined in your manual.

Lack of power to pull up a skier is often a sign of a slightly lean idle mixture.

If this is a relativly new condition then you have been well advised to clean the carbs, rather than simply adjust the idle mixture, as mineral/crud accumulation in carbs does not only reduce idle fuel but can soon cause major damage from main jet fuel restrictions.

Be glad you noticed this problem early, before burning pistons.
