Thanks for the offer but I think things are OK for now. I don't use Cosco but I do Sams. I don't know if they carry software or not.

Yes. Open Office will work for you.

I use open office and it seems to work fine, for what I need it for. Also, if you have a hotmail account, you have access to word and a few other programs online. All for free.
